A Guide: Installing your NEW mudflaps for the
'11 - '12 Subaru WRX (sedan) and WRX STi (sedan)

Turn your steering wheel to give maximum space on the side you are working on.
For the DRIVER's side turn your steering wheel all the way to the LEFT,
PASSENGER's side turn your steering wheel all the way to the RIGHT
Now remove the 2 pop clips closest to the front under the sideskirt - be careful not to break them =[

Opening your door will allow for further access to your fender flare.
After you've removed all clips holding on the sections of fender flare and sideskirt, you can now
pull them carefully away from the body of the car. This should give you just enough room to work with.

Remove the 3 clips with your Philips screwdriver.

After you've done this carefully pull back your wheel-well and place 2 of the phosphate u-nuts over the bottom 2 holes.

Take 2 of the stainless steel bolts and 2 of the thin stainless steel washers for the next step

Replace the wheel-well back to it's original position and replace the side flare.

Now place thesideskirt back on, remember to put the 2 bottom clips back in under the sideskirt.

Almost done with the FRONT mudflaps. Take 2 of the stainless steel bolts and 2 of the stainless steel/rubber
washers to secure the mudflap. Adjusting and re-adjusting is easy, all you have to do is untighten the bolts and
wiggle it around until you have the desired angle.

You have now installed the front mudflaps.

Rear Hardware as follows. 1 flap, 1 bracket, 1 metal bracket, 2 short bolts, 1 long bolt, 3 steel/rubber washers, 1 longer U-nut, and 2 short U-nuts.

Hardware and brackets

Safely jack up and remove the rear wheel. Don't forget the jackstands.

Here is the wheel off.

Pop off these 2 clips. Be careful not to break them as you need to reuse at least one.

Carefully pull back the bumper and slide out the rear guard slighty. Place short U-nut where you removed the top clip.

They should now be lined up. Take the longer U-nut and place it on the flap bracket with the stem facing the rear of your car.

Carefully slide the rear guard between the back of the bracket and clip to secure it. Now slide the bumper cover over the top of the bracket so that the longer clip has disappeared from view. Once you've done that, the bracket should be snug in its place..

Now reuse one of the clips you removed from earlier and place it through the metal bracket. This may require some extra umph depending on how much debris you have on the clip.

Slide the metal bracket behind the flap bracket so the top holes align.

Slide the last short clip on the top hole on the metal bracket with the stem facing the front of the car and it should slip into the hole on the flap bracket. Now take the long bolt and place a washer on it. Place it through the furthest inside hole on the flap. get the bolt started at least a few turns.

Grab the regular bolts and place the steel/rubber washer on. Place the bolt through the top hole on the flap and screw it into the top U-nut hole that is on the flap bracket. Then place the bolt through the bottom hole on the flap and screw it into the reverse facing U-nut that is placed on the metal bracket. It should be hidden inside the hole on the flap bracket.

Now tighten the bolts, while allowing a bit of room for adjustment before tigtening.

Adjust accordingly and securely.

Place the wheel back on and tighten the lug nuts. Lower the vehicle down so the wheel is barely touching the ground and finish torquing the lug nuts to 73.8ft/lbs. Once that is done, finish lowering the car.

Congrats! You have successfully installed flaps on your 2011-2012 WRX and WRX STi sedan!
